Whew! A busy few weeks. School has started, this leaves me without a lot of energy when I finally collapse at home from work. I have been writing very slowly, ticking away at the Stray Light, jotting notes in my comp books, scratching out lines. Another obstacle is a BIG show I have tomorrow with Helms Alee (a real good band from Seattle). Preparing for that has also taken a lot of mental energy. What else? Oh yeah.

500 words yesterday, through (finally) chapter 19. I'm a little over a third done with the novel, hope to speed up and finish by the end of October.
